Mrs. Claudia Burke Rose
Mother, Wife, and Friend
Co-Owner of Rose's Automotive
Treasurer and Co-Chair of DAET
Her Story
Claudia graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts and Sciences. After University, she worked for multiple large corporations in finance and accounting. She notes she has “always loved finance and accounting.” These experiences led her to start her successful small business Rose’s Automotive, with her husband Ed Rose.
When asked about her time in Sherborn she said “I love how Sherborn still has that small-town feel. Residents know each other and the community takes care of one another.”
In her free time, Claudia enjoys spending time with her family, skiing, traveling, and volunteering in her community.
Her Advice to Young People
Claudia notes that “Anyone interested in starting their own business must realize that it takes a lot of hard work and commitment. You must have a passion for what you want to do and you must create a good support team using experienced professionals. Although owning a business is rewarding and you have a feeling of accomplishment, there are sleepless nights worrying about making payroll as well as working long hours to create a successful business. It is not for the faint of heart. You must have the courage to persevere and the patience to make well thought-out decisions.”
