Ms. Malavika Suresh
Sister, Volunteer, and Friend
Environmentalist and Intern for Fidelity Investments

Her Story

Perhaps the youngest member of this collection, Ms. Malavika Suresh attends the Dover-Sherborn High School in the 2023 graduating class. She has one sister, Mahiya Suresh. She is heavily involved with volunteerism and environmentalism in the community. During her summers, she interns at Fidelity Investments with the Boundless Youth in Finance program.

Her favorite aspects of Sherborn are the friendly people, small businesses, and the tight-knit community of volunteers! She is described as caring, ambitious, and adventurous, by her friends and family.

Down to Earth Program

Malavika organizes the "Down to Earth" program at the Dover-Sherborn High school. Her program seeks to serve the school in sustainability and environmental resilience efforts. As the leader, she manages over $1000 in funds and oversees the 20+ members.

In 2021-2022, her program intertwined sustainability with one of  Malavika's passions, art. In this art program, she worked with the students by making pieces for the school from recycled material.

Her program regularly volunteers at the Broadmoor Audubon Wildlife Sanctuary in bird and habitat restoration initiatives.

Outside Interests

Outside of her environmentalism, Malavika enjoys running Varsity Cross Country and Track for the Dover-Sherborn High School teams. She is an ambassador for the Girls who Code program, a Volunteer Assistant at the Boston Public library, a Female/Gender Studies and Art History instructor at the Youth Passion Project, and the co-leader of the Dover Sherborn French Culture Club.

Malavika is heavily inspired by Frances Willard, a women's suffragist and educator of the later 1800s. This woman has led Malavika to take pride in her support for feminism, education, and diversity.

In her future, she hopes to study law or finance.

Her Artist Profile

Malavika Suresh is a digital photographer with experience in darkroom photography. Her artwork is inspired by her budding passion to capture moments of nature and the environment in our changing climate.

She is an Art Instructor at the Youth Passion Project, based in Boston, MA.
